Congratulations to our Tri-State Trek bikers Robin Dorogusker, Lori Stewart Coletti, and Judylynn Monaco...Robin biked 225 miles, Lori biked 210 miles, and Judylynn completed all 270 miles! Thanks to the generosity of many IFMA Boston folks, we are almost to our fundraising goal of $14,000 - we have collected over $10,000. We will continue to collect donations until October. A fundraiser for Darryl Goss and ALS awareness will be held on August 14th. Another way to donate is to have a Bitchin Bitter beer at the Cambridge Brewing Company that makes a donation to team. For more information on the fundraiser or the beer, please contact Robin Dorogusker. |
| Description: |
This is a 270 mile bike ride from Boston to White Plains, NY, to promote a cure for ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease), a truly crippling, debilitating, ignominious, yet pretty much forgotten illness, as it affects a relatively few (50,000 in the US every year) and causes those affected to lose their voices, their ability to communicate, yet not their ability to think, feel, and understand the world around them. |
IFMA Boston Members who will riding for Team Darryl are Robin Dorogusker, Lori Stewart Coletti, and Judylynn Monaco. If you are interested in donating, please click here. |

The Tri State Trek benefits The ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS TDI). ALS TDI is driven by a single, profoundly important goal – to discover viable treatments for ALS as quickly as we possibly can. Currently, a team of 30 full-time research scientists and technicians work together daily in a state-of-the-art laboratory in Cambridge, MA, taking the disease apart at the molecular level and turning off genes and proteins which may be related to the disease. The Institute is solely focused on stopping ALS and operates the world's largest and leading research and development center. A remarkable 85% of every dollar donated goes into the lab towards research at ALS TDI. To learn more about ALS TDI please click here. |
