Background
In September 2001, Boston Chapter/IFMA was contacted by Boston University's Center for Professional Education and asked to assist them in developing a new certificate program in FM. Our Chapter responded by creating an advisory board that met with BU's administration to help design the program structure and course curriculum.
The new Boston University Facilities Management Certificate Program launched in October 2002. The curriculum consists of six courses for certificate completion. A course is 8 weeks in duration with each class session being two and half hours in time.
